Abigail Williams

Year 2 Lead

Hi, my name is Abbie Williams-Hall and I am from a small seaside village called Langland, in South Wales, UK. I graduated from the University of Bristol, England, with a BA (Hons) in Primary Teaching, specialising in English. After completing my degree, I taught in a small school in Bath for seven years. I have really enjoyed the last six years teaching at RDS, where I have been very fortunate to take on the role of Year 2 Team Leader for the last two years as well as previously being RDS’ Science Leader.

I love sparking children’s curiosity, making learning fun and helping children have those ‘eureka’ and ‘ah ha’ moments where their learning makes sense and they are excited by it, is so incredibly rewarding. Making each child feel important and having belief in themselves that they can do anything they set their mind to is the key to creating successful learners. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family as well as taking my dog, Bobby, for long walks. I also enjoy keeping fit by playing netball, running, cycling and climbing mountains. I love setting myself new challenges, one of my proudest moments was when my husband and I climbed up to the Basecamp of Everest, which was truly spectacular!

I am really looking forward to meeting all our Year 2 families, what an exciting year we have ahead of us!
