Hannah Walsh
Year 1 Lead
Hannah is originally from a small seaside town in Kent, England. She holds a degree in Fine Art, in addition to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
Hannah worked in the UK before teaching in Dubai and has taught across FS2 to Year 7. She has previously held leadership roles including Key Stage 1 Leader, Social Studies and Performing Arts Leader.
As Year Leader for Year 1 at GEMS Royal Dubai School, Hannah is proud to work alongside a fantastic and dedicated team. She is also thoroughly enjoying teaching Year 1, Dragonfly Class this academic year.
Hannah is a firm believer of learning being a lifelong journey. She ensures that her classroom is a happy and inclusive learning environment, where pupils’ strengths and talents are celebrated so that every child is provided with the life skills and learning opportunities to achieve their goals.
Marvelous Moment
One of Hannah’s favourite moments from her time at GEMS RDS so far has been the ‘Winter Wonderland Day’ for Year 1 students. Hannah believes that children learn best when they are actively immersed and engaged in a learning topic, and that learning should be as fun as possible!
