Sinead Avitabile
FS1 Lead
This is Sinead’s 7th Year at RDS and she is really excited to be working with the youngest learners in our school. EYFS is her passion and she loves developing those early learning skills with the children every day. In the Early Years, Wellbeing is a huge part of what we do and something she feels strongly about developing with the children from the moment they come into the class. We believe the happiest child learns in the best way.
Sinead comes from a mixed background of Irish and Italian parents and this is where she found her interest and excitement for International schools and being around many cultures. She attended an International school in Italy herself and then finished her education in Ireland. She completed her Bachelor of Education in Dublin, Ireland with a dual degree in French where she had the chance to teach in a school in France as part of her studies. She then taught in both Ireland and then London, England before making the move to the UAE.
At RDS, Sinead has worked in the Foundation Stage in FS2 and she is excited to bring that knowledge to FS1. She has also led Wellbeing and again that experience will help her in her practice this year.
Marvellous moment:
Any dress up or hook days in FS is always a great day for Sinead. She loves to see the excitement for learning as well as the creativity of the children in making their costumes.
