Sophie Ellis
Year 6 Lead
Sophie is originally from a small town in North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. She completed her English Language and Literature degree and her teaching qualification (PGCE) at Newcastle University. Sophie started her teaching career in a modern, open plan school in Newcastle, before moving to Dubai in 2020. Having worked in Year 5 and 6 at RDS for two years, Sophie is excited to take on her new role this year as Year Leader.
When Sophie is not at school, she loves being social with her friends and enjoying everything Dubai has to offer. Sophie also loves to travel and make the most of her holidays experiencing new countries and different cultures.
Sophie aims to instill a love for learning within every child. Alongside her incredible Year 6 team, Sophie is excited to impact, inspire and guide her children to become successful lifelong learners who are confident, driven and resilient.
