
Mary Saad
Arabic & Islamic
Mary Saad is the Corporate Head for Arabic and Islamic Improvement at GEMS Education. Her role focuses on providing strategic direction and leadership for schools in improving their Arabic and Islamic provision including guidance and support to school leaders and capacity building for Arabic and Islamic teams across the GEMS network.
Mary has close to 20 years of experience working with ministries of education, NGOs and schools in the Arab Region on areas including evidence-based policy reform, school-wide improvement, curriculum design and capacity building for teachers and school leaders.
Among the main projects which Mary has worked on are The USAID funded project D-RASATI, the American University of Beirut’s TAMAM Project and policy reform informed by international assessment data including TIMSS 2011, TIMSS 2015, PIRLS 2015, and PISA 2012.
Mary holds an MA in Education, a Teaching Diploma, and a BS in Mathematics from the American University of Beirut.
