In 2006, I graduated from Chichester University with a BA Hons in Primary Education with ICT as my specialist subject. After successfully completing my NQT year in a primary school in West Sussex, I moved to Dubai with my family and started at RDS in September 2007. During my first 10 years at RDS I was a class teacher with additional leadership responsibilities such as Head of Year, Innovation Leader and Charity Leader. In September 2017, I began my senior leadership journey as Assistant Principal and my current role is Vice Principal and Head of Curriculum. As a trained COACH U coach and facilitator, I believe that coaching is a powerful tool for professional and personal growth. Outside of school, I love to keep active, enjoy the outdoors in the milder months, travel and spend quality time with my family.
My marvelous moments have been those in which students have led projects that have provided them with a platform to learn in meaningful and purposeful contexts. Over the years I have facilitated many design thinking projects which nurture concern for society and encourage students to be problem solvers. They never cease to amaze me with their ideas and their moon-shot thinking!
