Brice Dempster

Assistant Headteacher Years 5 & 6

Brice Dempster is delighted to be an Assistant Headteacher, overseeing Years 5 and 6 this year at GEMS Royal Dubai School. Brice has been part of the GEMS Royal Dubai family for the last 4 years, teaching in Years 4, 5 and 6 whilst having held leadership positions in English and Mathematics.

Brice is originally from a county called Kent, which is situated in the south-east of England. He studied an education degree in London before completing his PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church University. Since then, Brice has taught all age ranges from 7-16.

Throughout Brice’s time in Dubai, he has enjoyed developing his leadership practice through the GEMS network, National Professional Qualifications in Leadership and also presenting for the BSME.

Outside of school, Brice enjoys many hobbies including rugby, where he plays for the Dubai Sharks, and his love to play the guitar - his favourite all time musician is Eric Clapton.

Brice’s marvelous moment was watching the end of year production ‘Madagascar’. The determination and perseverance shown over many months of rehearsing paid off with a magical performance. It was such a joy to see the confidence shine through on the children’s faces and the proudness on their peers and parents’ faces.
