Brice Dempster

Assistant Headteacher Years 5 & 6


My name is Brice Dempster and I am extremely excited to be an Assistant Headteacher, overseeing Years 5 and 6 here at RDS. I have been part of the GEMS Royal Dubai family for the last 4 years teaching in Years 4, 5 and 6 whilst having held leadership positions in English and Mathematics.


I am originally from a county called Kent, which is situated in the south-east of England. I studied an education degree in London before completing my PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church University. Since then, I have taught all age ranges from 7-16.


Throughout my time in Dubai, I have enjoyed developing my leadership practice through the GEMS network, National Professional Qualifications in Leadership and also presenting for the BSME.


Outside of school, I have many hobbies including rugby, where I play for the Dubai Sharks, and I love to play the guitar - my favourite all time musician is Eric Clapton. I also


I look forward to meeting you and all of your children throughout the year.


My marvelous moment was, without doubt, watching the end of year production ‘Madagascar’. The determination and perseverance shown over many months paid off with a magical performance. It was such a joy to see the confidence shine through on the children’s faces and the proudness on their peers and parents’ faces.
