Charlotte Grieves has taught in GEMS Education schools since 2007, when she joined Jumeirah Primary School from the UK. In 2011, she moved to GEMS Wellington International School, where over the course of nine years she held various senior leadership positions including Head of School. Charlotte joined GEMS Royal Dubai School as Senior Vice Principal in 2020.
With a PGCE from University College Chichester in the UK, Charlotte has been a teacher and school leader for more than 15 years. At the core of her pedagogy lies the development of the child as a learner, both in the classroom and beyond, with student wellbeing at the forefront of her vision so that children are nurtured and inspired to surpass expectations, pastorally and academically.
As an education leader, Charlotte’s focus is on raising the standard of learning and teaching while playing a supporting role to her fellow professionals. She believes all children have the ability to fulfil their potential and that it is a school’s responsibility to draw upon the strengths of its teachers to make this possible. With a solution-based approach and an impact-driven mind-set, Charlotte encourages and motivates others to take risks with their learning and teaching, and develops teams by being reflective in all areas.
