Lauren Pennington

Lauren Pennington has recently just completed her tenth year here at GEMS Royal Dubai School. Originally from a very small island in Cumbria, UK  Lauren completed her 4 year teaching degree just an hour away from home at St Martin’s college, Lancaster. There she started her career in a tiny school in Preston, with around 60 children, before moving to Dubai in 2012. When not at school Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors travelling to various countries as much as she can. This year she is aiming to visit her 80^th country! Having held various leadership roles throughout the school, Lauren is so excited to be moving into senior leadership to oversee Years 2, 3 and 4 as Assistant Headteacher. Lauren believes that the jewel in the RDS crown is our community. The academic team are fortunate enough to have excellent relationships with families, and this year she will be working to strengthen these relationships by promoting parents as partners. Her door will always be open – so please pop by. Lauren is looking forward to working with you all!
