Seán Casey
Manager - Education Data and Analytics, GEMS
Seán Casey joined the GEMS Royal Dubai School Local Advisory Board in January of this year. As anEducation Data and Analytics Manager at GEMS Education School Support Centre, he will be responsible for data governance as a member of the GRDS LAB. In his role at GEMS SSC, Seán works across the GEMS Education network, developing data analytical tools to provide insight on the data that is being generated by schools and their students.
Seán has been working in education in the UAE for the past 15 years. Arriving to the UAE in 2005, he taught Mathematics and Computer Science to secondary and tertiary level students in Abu Dhabi before providing school improvement training and professional development to both public and private schools across the UAEand GCC. After working with the office of the UAE Ministry of Education, he joined the analytics team at GEMS Education in 2019.
Seán holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science, a PGCEin Mathematicsand anMAin Educational Leadership and Management. He is currentlyin the process of completing an MSc in Data Science and Machine Learning.
As a self-confessed ‘data-geek’, Seán is delighted to join the GRDS LAB and hopes to support the school in using its data to enhance outcomes for all students.
